Job summary

East London Primary School in London is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive, community‑oriented team. The role is full‑time, long‑term and starts ASAP, working across KS2 with close collaboration to planning and delivering engaging lessons.

You will support pupils through targeted interventions, assist with lesson prep and classroom routines, and help raise attainment in reading, writing and maths.

Qualifications

  • KS2 classroom experience is essential.
  • Some SEN experience in a primary setting.
  • A degree in education or related subject is highly desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong communication, patience and proactive attitude.

KS2 Teaching Assistant - Full‑Time, Long‑Term - Immediate Start

A supportive, community‑driven East London primary school with a strong reputation for inclusion, high expectations and excellent behaviour is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school offers a structured, nurturing environment where staff work collaboratively and pupils are encouraged to become confident, independent learners.

This is a full‑time, long‑term role starting ASAP, supporting pupils across KS2 and working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging, well‑organised learning.

Role Responsibilities
  • Providing targeted support to KS2 pupils through small‑group and 1:1 interventions
  • Supporting children with mild to moderate SEN needs (ASD, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH)
  • Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and behaviour routines
  • Helping pupils strengthen core skills in reading, writing, maths and problem‑solving
  • Encouraging independence, resilience and positive learning habits
  • Maintaining a calm, inclusive and structured classroom environment
  • Following safeguarding procedures and communicating effectively with staff and parents
Requirements

Pay

£100-£110 per day DOE
