Job summary

The Graduate Network is recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a Good-rated two-form entry primary school in Wolverhampton.

You'll support Year 5 pupils with 1:1 and small group interventions, deliver targeted activities, and work with classroom staff to prepare pupils for Year 6. Degree holders with a passion for education are encouraged to apply; DBS required or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

The Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll be working with pupils in Year 5 who require additional support to reach their academic goals. You'll deliver targeted interventions, assist with classroom activities, and provide one-to-one guidance to help pupils develop their skills in core subjects. Your input will be key in boosting confidence and preparing students for the transition into Year 6.

The Candidate:

You should hold a degree in any subject and have a genuine passion for working with children. A supportive attitude, clear communication skills, and the ability to engage pupils are essential. Any previous experience working with young people -particularly in a school or tutoring capacity- will enhance your application.

Requirements

• Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children - A genuine interest in supporting learning and progressing into teaching.
• Experience working with children - Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
