Job summary

Three Valleys Health PCN seeks pharmacy technicians to join our expanding team in the Midsomer Norton/Radstock area. You will work under Clinical Pharmacist supervision to improve prescribing safety and cost savings, and you will be enrolled on the PCPEP pathway if not already qualified.

We have a well-established PCN with 8 practices and 68k patients. This part-time role offers mentoring, development opportunities, and collaboration with GPs and technicians to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• Qualified to BTEC or NVQ level 3 qualification in pharmaceutical sciences, with at least two years post-qualification experience.
• Professional registration with GPhC.
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development.

Responsibilities

• Lead improvements to maximise safe, cost-effective prescribing and to improve patient care.
• Develop and implement safe, effective, and efficient systems for repeat prescribing and medicines optimisation.
• Switch medications to agreed protocols and reduce medicines waste.
• Support national requirements, NICE implementation, and medicines optimisation initiatives.
