Job summary

The Cheltenham Peripheral Primary Care Network seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support medicines optimisation across five practices on the edge of Cheltenham. The role includes medication reviews, reconciliations, inhaler checks, and care home transfers, with registration on the national pharmacy education pathway.

In this post you will travel between sites, provide specialist advice on public health needs, and contribute to antimicrobial stewardship while ensuring patient safety and data

Qualifications

• Qualified and registered pharmacy technician (GPhC).
• Continued professional development (CPD) evidence.

Responsibilities

• Hold patient-facing conversations to support effective medicines use and shared decision-making.
• Check medicine administration and support reviews and reconciliations.
• Advise GPs, nurses, receptionists and community pharmacists.
• Support medication reviews for care home patients and liaise on transfers.
• Synchronise medicines for patients moving between care settings.
