Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join the Primary Care Prescribing Team. The post involves providing technical support for safe, cost-effective prescribing across GP practices and care homes within CTM, developing expertise in GP clinical systems, and contributing to prescribing audits and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Welsh language speaking/listening at CEFR B2 level or higher is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Support delivery of safe, effective and cost-efficient prescribing across GP practices and care home reviews.
Analyse prescribing data, produce reports, audits and cost comparisons.
Assist Prescribing Advisors with projects and initiatives aligned with Health Board priorities.
Review and improve repeat prescribing systems in GP practices and resolve prescribing queries.
Provide medicines advice to healthcare professionals, patients and carers, and support medication reviews.
Monitor drug spend and identify potential issues in prescribing trends.
