As a Primary Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will

Responsibilities
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received.
  • Promote safe patient care.
  • Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications
  • Registered nurse Adult & Child.
  • Current professional qualification (NMC).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP and YOI Werrington, a young offenders prison located in Stoke-on-Trent. HMP YOI Werrington is a young offenders prison for age 15-18 offenders which has a capacity of 100 inmates. In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed. The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns: Days 07:30 - 21:00, Nights 20:45 - 07:45. The shifts are on a 4 week rolling rota, working 3 weeks of day shifts and 1 week of night shifts & weekends.

This position is full time. You’ll receive an annual salary up to £41,659 per annum, depending on experience.
