Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice on David Street in the United Kingdom. The role involves assisting with routine clinical tasks, patient assessments and maintaining the treatment room workflow.

The successful candidate will have prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS, be comfortable with clinical observations, and possess good communication skills. DBS enhanced clearance is required.

Qualifications

• HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
