Job summary

Operose Health Ltd seeks a Healthcare Assistant to support local primary care delivery in a 15-hour-per-week role at Lucas Avenue Practice. Salary is up to £30,000 depending on experience. The post focuses on patient care, checks, and administrative tasks to improve access, outcomes and patient experience.

You will assist with patient duties, support CQC-related duties, and work with long-term conditions, including phlebotomy, while using basic PC skills and maintaining professional boundaries."

Qualifications

• Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy.
• Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain data security.
• Adapt to changing priorities and be personable, polite and patient with patients.
• Basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email.
• Ability to use own judgement and be aware of professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient duties as required and supporting the team with patient care.
• Supporting the Practice with duties related to CQC outcomes and ensuring compliance.
• Work with patients with long term conditions; experience in phlebotomy is required.
• Provide clinical procedures such as new patient health checks, BMI, blood pressure, pulse and simple wound care.
• Complete administrative tasks such as new patient registrations, leaflets, stock control and ordering.
