Job summary

Vetro Recruitment seeks an Additional Needs Teaching Assistant in Wirral to support pupils facing barriers to learning. The role involves assisting across EYFS and specialist settings in a vibrant primary academy, contributing to development and wellbeing.

You will work with teachers to implement learning plans, adapt activities for diverse needs, and foster an inclusive classroom environment. Term-time hours and ongoing training are provided as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Relevant primary school experience with understanding of children’s educational development.
• A Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience working with children with special educational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted and general classroom support to pupils with additional needs.
• Work closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Assist in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Adapt activities to meet diverse needs across year groups and settings.
