Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is seeking a leading GB Commercial Analytics analyst to own pricing operations, deliver commercial reporting, and generate growth insights that drive sales, margins, and retention. You will partner with Commercial, Sales, Marketing and Energy Markets, combining hands-on analytics with team leadership.

You will mentor data professionals, build scalable reporting pipelines, and champion data best practices across our modern data platform stack.

Qualifications

• Strong data analytics skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Experience in pricing analytics, margin optimization, and growth analytics.
• Proven track record mentoring and developing data professionals.
• Excellent communication to influence non-technical stakeholders and drive business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pricing operations for domestic tariffs, including launches, price changes, margin reporting and compliance.
• Drive pricing strategy through competitor intelligence and market analysis for senior leadership.
• Own and evolve commercial reporting pipelines across customer switching, sales activity, marketing campaigns, retention and competitor insights.
• Deliver growth and customer insights, including key metrics, funnel analysis, forecasting and retention initiatives.
• Set priorities and lead a small, high-performance analytics team.
• Partner with Commercial, Sales, Marketing, and other teams to provide forecasting inputs and KPI reporting.
• Collaborate with global groups to ensure aligned reporting and shared analytics projects.
• Champion data best practices and continual analytics process improvement.
