Job summary

A leading insurance and financial services provider in Stratford-upon-Avon seeks a Senior Principal Analyst. This role involves leading complex pricing analyses, designing and implementing pricing models, and coaching analysts. With a 80% hybrid working model, you will influence high-profile transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong pricing experience and excellent communication skills. You will contribute to regulatory-compliant pricing solutions while working closely with stakeholders across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Experience with demand modelling, loss cost modelling or customer impact analysis.
• Ability to manage work autonomously.
• Knowledge of pricing systems such as Polaris or Earnix.

Responsibilities

• Lead on complex pricing analyses including data engineering, model design and algorithm development.
• Design, build, review and continuously improve pricing models and algorithms.
• Act as the technical escalation point, owning quality assurance of pricing models.
• Translate complex technical analysis into clear insights for decision-making.
• Coach, mentor and develop analysts.

Skills

Strong technical experience within a pricing, analytics or actuarial environment

Advanced experience designing, building and reviewing pricing models and rating algorithms

Proficiency with pricing tools such as RADAR, EMBLEM, or equivalent platforms

Experience working with data (SQL, SAS, R)

Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills

Ability to communicate complex technical outputs

Experience leading or overseeing technical work

Proactive, delivery-focused mindset

Experience coaching or mentoring analysts

Education

Progress toward or completion of a relevant professional qualification
