Qualifications

• Previous sales experience required.
• Freight forwarding experience desirable.
• Pricing experience desirable.
• Good understanding of transport and worldwide logistics.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Able to build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and partners.
• Resilient, positive and able to stay composed in challenging situations.
• High level of IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Support the branch with day-to-day pricing and network enquiries, ensuring requests are handled accurately and promptly.
• Obtain, maintain and update freight rates from carriers, suppliers and overseas partners.
• Prepare and issue freight quotations in line with pricing structures and customer requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers, carriers and overseas agents for rates and service information.
• Maintain accurate pricing, network and supplier records.
• Regularly review pricing information to keep it accurate and competitive.
• Assist with analysing rates, routes and market information for pricing opportunities.
• Produce pricing and commercial reports.
• Provide general support to the Commercial team including ad-hoc projects.
