Job summary

Framestore in London is seeking a layout artist at mid to senior level to pre-visualise shots using cinematography principles. You will contribute to CG camera animation, staging, blocking, and provide foundations for downstream work in the animation pipeline.

The role requires strong Maya knowledge, solid understanding of the VFX process, and a proactive approach to maintaining continuity and shot quality under pressure.

Qualifications

• Strong Maya knowledge with excellent problem solving skills and understanding of the VFX pipeline.
• Houdini knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent understanding of practical cameras and camera techniques.

Responsibilities

• Camera/assets staging/blocking.
• Overseeing Previs and Postvis ingestion.
• Setup and maintenance of Conforms.
• Shot content maintenance for animation.
• Strong problem solving; ensure continuity within sequence.
