Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a Press Tool Design Engineer to join the Manufacturing and Engineering team near Redditch. You will lead the design of sheet metal press tooling and support a large engineering function with a focus on precision components across UK facilities.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm and Friday 7.30am-12.30pm, totaling 39 hours. The ideal candidate has proven press tooling design experience, SolidWorks proficiency, and the appropriate engineering qualification

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sheet metal press tool design with a portfolio of small, high-precision components.
• Competent with SolidWorks.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, OR a completed Toolmaking Apprenticeship paired with design experience.

Overview

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a Press Tool Design Engineer to join the Manufacturing and Engineering team. You will part of a large engineering function of Manufacturing Engineers with a key focus on press tool design.

Ideal candidate / Press Tool Design Engineer

• Proven experience in sheet metal press tool design, with a distinct portfolio of small, high-precision components.
• Competent with Solidworks
• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, OR a completed Toolmaking Apprenticeship paired with design experience

Commutable from

Redditch, Alcester, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Coventry, Worcester, Birmingham and surrounding areas.
