Job summary

World Leading Manufacturer in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, is seeking a Press Setter / Operator. You will set up and operate Mechanical and Hydraulic Presses, ensuring quality and safety in a busy press shop.

The role reports to the Manufacturing Manager and involves two shift patterns (Mornings/Afternoons), 39 hours weekly, with PPE provided. Permanent position with standard UK benefits.

We are working on behalf of a world leading manufacturer and currently have an exciting opportunity for a Press Setter / Operator based at their site in Long Eaton, Derbyshire.

Main Purpose of the Press Setter / Operator:

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Press Setter / Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of Mechanical and Hydraulic Presses.

• Audit and pass off own work to Samples
• Troubleshoot tool problems
• Maintain safe working practices within the Press shop
• Development of new tools

Salary / Benefits:

£36,057pa + Benefits

Salary: £36000 – £38000/annum

Hours:

2 shift pattern (Mornings / Afternoons) – 39 hours per week

6.00am 2.00pm

2.00pm 10.00pm

Working conditions are normal for an engineering press shop environment, full PPE will be worn (ear defenders overalls and steel toe cap footwear will be worn.)

Involves the use of power presses for mass production blanking out of steel and alloy components and their processing to final product involving a variety of presses including draw, form and blank pressing.
