Job summary

Ashby Finance is recruiting a Power Press Setter/Operator for a manufacturing partner in Long Eaton. You will set, adjust and operate a range of presses, ensuring products meet quality standards and safety requirements.

The role is 39 hours per week on a rotating mornings/afternoons shift, with rate £17.78–£18.55 per hour including shift allowance, with potential progression to permanent status after a successful temporary period.

Qualifications

• Experience as Power Press Setter/Operator.
• Ability to work independently with initiative.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of mechanical and hydraulic presses.
• Set and adjust press machinery to production requirements.
• Inspect, audit and sign off own work against quality standards.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain safe working practices within the press shop.
• Assist with development and improvement of new tooling.
