Job summary

Supreme Recruitment Services Limited in the Sutton Coldfield area is seeking a Press Setter / Operator to set and run power presses and related machinery, producing components to drawing tolerances. This permanent role offers a straightforward interview process with an immediate start.

You will work with the Cell Co-ordinator and Engineers to ensure efficient cycle times while maintaining safety standards and meeting KPIs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a factory setting.
• Experience operating power presses 20t–250t+.
• Experience with measuring equipment and gauges.
• Computer literate and able to use standard software.
• Physically fit due to manual handling.
• Level 3 in Engineering is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate power presses and related production machines to drawing tolerances and specifications.
• Adhere to tooling requirements, perform tool changes and amendments safely within set times.
• Produce accurate, high‑quality components to drawing specifications.
• Collaborate with Cell Co-ordinator and Engineers to maintain efficient machine run times.
• Promote a positive health & safety attitude across the site and meet KPIs and metrics.

Sutton Coldfield area (outskirts)

Permanent - Immediate interviews - simple interview process

£14.07 plus 13.75% shift allowance - training rate total of £16.00 per hour. Increases to £14.94 plus 13.75% shift allowance - once trained, total rate of £17.00

About the Role:

Reporting to the Cell Co-ordinator the Press Setter Operator will be responsible for the setting and operation of power presses and other manufacturing machines, producing components to drawing tolerance and specifications.

Competently set and operate power presses and other related production machines within area.

Utilise and adhere to specified tooling requirements, including jigs and fixtures, to perform tool changes and amendments safely and in required setting times.

Produce accurate, high quality components to drawing specification.

Working with the Coordinator and Engineers to ensure the machines are run efficiently with optimum cycle times.

Professional Skills Required:

• 2 + years' experience of working within a factory. Specific experience of operating power presses ranging from 20t to 250t +
• Experience with various forms of measuring equipment.
• Computer literate.
• Be physically fit as role has a percentage of manual handling involved.
