Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is seeking a Press Setter near Redditch to join the Manufacturing and Engineering team. You will be responsible for press set up, tooling alignment and production support in a busy manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with press operations, tooling, and reading engineering drawings, with a focus on reliability and quality. Commutable from Redditch and surrounding areas; company offers a bonus scheme and pension options.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in press manufacturing/press shop operations.
• Progression, transfer and secondary pressing operations experience.
• Experience setting and operating industrial presses and press tooling.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up presses and tooling to production specifications.
• Align tooling and adjust settings for production runs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues on the shop floor.

• Environment: Manufacturing
• Location: near Redditch
• Hours: Monday to Thursday (7.30am - 4.30pm) Friday (7.30am - 12.30pm) - 39 hours per week

Overview:

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a Press Setter to join the Manufacturing and Engineering team. You will part of a large engineering function of Manufacturing Engineers with a key focus on press set up, tooling, trouble shooting and production support.

The ideal candidate / Press Setter

• Hands-on experience in press manufacturing / press shop operations.
• Proven experience with progression, transfer and secondary pressing operations.
• Experience setting and operating industrial presses and press tooling.
• Good understanding of press setup, tooling alignment and production requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.

Commutable from:

Redditch, Alcester, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Coventry, Worcester, Birmingham and surrounding areas.
