Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a Press Setter for our manufacturing facility near Redditch. You will be part of a large engineering function with a focus on press setup, tooling, troubleshooting and production support to keep lines running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in press shop operations, the ability to read engineering drawings, and strong mechanical fault‑finding skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in press manufacturing / press shop operations.
• Proven experience with progression, transfer and secondary pressing operations.
• Experience setting and operating industrial presses and press tooling.
• Good understanding of press setup, tooling alignment and production requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Experience using dimensional measuring equipment.

Overview

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a Press Setter to join the Manufacturing and Engineering team. You will be part of a large engineering function of Manufacturing Engineers with a key focus on press set up, tooling, trouble shooting and production support.

Ideal Candidate / Press Setter

The ideal candidate / Press Setter may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Hands-on experience in press manufacturing / press shop operations.
• Proven experience with progression, transfer and secondary pressing operations.
• Experience setting and operating industrial presses and press tooling.
• Good understanding of press setup, tooling alignment and production requirements.
