Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company in Dronfield for a Press Operative / Hydraulic Press Operator to join their team on a long-term basis.
Working as a Press Operative / Hydraulic Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating hydraulic press machinery as part of the manufacturing and production process.
Duties include:
Operating hydraulic press machinery safely and efficiently
Loading and unloading materials and finished products
Preparing materials for the production process
Monitoring machinery and production processes
Carrying out quality checks
Completing production records and paperwork
Following health & safety and production procedures
Reporting any machinery or production issues
Keeping the work area clean and organised
The role operates on a weekly rotating day and night shift pattern, Monday to Thursday.
Days: 05:45 – 17:45
£13.15 per hour – paid for 49 hours per week
Nights: 17:45 – 05:45
£14.18 per hour – paid for 57 hours per week
The additional paid hours are built into the shift arrangement.
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, factory or machine operating is desirable
Hydraulic press, press operating or Pressman experience is advantageous
Good attention to detail
Reliable with good timekeeping and attendance
Comfortable working in a hands-on, industrial environment
Able to follow instructions and health & safety procedures
Willing to work rotating day and night shifts
Three-day weekend every week – Friday, Saturday and Sunday off
