Job summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Press Brake Setter/Operator for a well-established sheet metal fabrication business based in Livingston. The role involves setting and operating AMADA press brakes to produce precision components across a range of materials.

You will read technical drawings, carry out quality checks and operate a variety of workshop machinery to maintain high finish quality. This permanent, full-time position offers a Monday to Thursday pattern with 7:30am to 5:30pm hours.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting and operating press brake machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Experience working with sheet metal to high finish standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machinery to produce components.
• Work with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium as required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to specification.

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Press Brake Setter/Operator to join an established sheet metal fabrication business based in Livingston. Our client is a family-run precision sheet metal fabrication business, working across a broad range of materials and sectors - offering a varied, skilled role with modern equipment including AMADA press brakes.

What's on offer?

• Full-time permanent position
• Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 5:30pm
• £14.00 to £16.00 per - hour dependent on experience

As a Press Brake Setter/Operator, your duties will include:

• Setting and operating press brake machinery to produce precision sheet metal components
• Working across a range of materials including stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately to produce components to specification
• Carrying out quality checks throughout production to maintain a high standard finish
• Operating a wide range of workshop machinery as required

To be considered as a Press Brake Setter/Operator, you will need:

• Proven experience setting and operating press brake machinery - AMADA experience is advantageous
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
• Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium to a high standard finish
• A strong commitment to quality and health and safety standards
