Job summary

Job Board Direct in Derbyshire is seeking a Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team on a full-time permanent basis. The role involves setting up and operating an Amada press brake to form sheet metal according to drawings, with attention to quality and safety.

You will work on modern equipment in a clean plant, enjoy a competitive hourly rate (£14-£17), a pension, training, overtime opportunities, and a supportive team committed to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Press Brake Setter Operator with sheet metal knowledge.
• Confidence with machine setup, material handling and part inspection.
• A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet production targets.
• Good understanding of workplace health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up press brake machines for folding sheet metal according to specifications.
• Select materials and ensure quality standards are met.
• Read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Conduct basic machine maintenance and upkeep.

Location: Derbyshire Start Date: Immediately Employment Type: Full-time (Permanent) Hourly Rate: £14 - £17 (depending on experience)

We are a leading UK manufacturer of advanced food processing machinery, renowned for delivering innovative automation solutions to customers around the world. Following significant investment in our state-of-the-art laser cutting and fabrication facilities, we're looking for a skilled Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our expanding manufacturing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern, high-specification equipment, including an Amada 4-metre press brake, in a clean, organised, and well-equipped manufacturing environment.

You’ll play a key role in producing precision components that form part of our world-class machinery, with the opportunity to contribute to a business that values quality, continuous improvement, and craftsmanship.

Press Brake Setter / Operator - Main Duties:

• Operate and set up press brake machines for folding sheet metal according to specifications.
• Selecting correct materials and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings.
• Conducting basic machine maintenance and upkeep.
• Working alongside a friendly and experienced team in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven experience as a Press Brake Setter Operator, ideally with Amada machines.
