Job summary

Prime Appointments in Ipswich is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a busy manufacturing team. You will operate and set press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal components to exact specifications.

The role, based in Ipswich, offers a Monday–Friday pattern (06:30–14:48) on a rolling temporary basis with an immediate start. Full induction and machinery training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with press brake operation is desirable.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong health & safety knowledge.
• Reliable and hands-on approach.

Are you an experienced Press Brake Operator looking for your next opportunity in Ipswich?

We're currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business in Ipswich, Suffolk, and are looking for someone to join their busy production team.

The Role

As a Press Brake Operator, you'll be responsible for operating and setting press brake machinery to accurately bend and form sheet metal components.

Your duties will include:

• Operating and adjusting press brake machinery
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Bending and forming sheet metal to specification
• Checking finished components for quality and accuracy
• Handling and positioning sheet metal
• Using hand and power tools
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Following all health & safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• Previous Press Brake experience is desirable
• Experience working with sheet metal or in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Good attention to detail
• Strong understanding of health & safety
• A hands-on and reliable approach to work
