Job summary

Prime Appointments is recruiting for a CNC Press Brake operator in Ipswich, Suffolk. Immediate start available to join a well-established manufacturing business.

You will operate and set press brake machinery, read engineering drawings, and form sheet metal to specification. Responsibilities include bending and forming parts, inspecting quality, handling sheet metal, using hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace in a Monday–Friday day shift with potential for a permanent

Qualifications

• Experience operating folding machines or press brakes.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust press brake machinery to bend/form sheet metal.
• Read and follow engineering drawings to spec.
• Bend/form sheet metal to required dimensions and inspect parts.
• Check finished components for quality and accuracy.
• Handle and position sheet metal using hand/power tools.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Have you worked in metal fabrication? Do you have experience operating a CNC Press Brake?

We're currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business in Ipswich, Suffolk. We are offering an immediate start for the right candidate.

You’ll be responsible for operating and setting press brake machinery to accurately bend and form sheet metal components.

Duties

• Operating and adjusting press brake machinery
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Bending and forming sheet metal to specification
• Checking finished components for quality and accuracyHandling and positioning sheet metal
• Using hand and power tools
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Following all health & safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience operating a folding machine
• Experience working with sheet metal or in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Good attention to detail
• Strong understanding of health & safety
• A hands-on and reliable approach to work
