Energis Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Press Brake Operator for a global manufacturing client in Portadown. This permanent, full-time role offers a day shift with an early finish on Fridays and a 39.5 hour week.

The successful candidate will set up and operate press brake machinery, read engineering drawings, perform quality checks and maintain production records. A strong focus on health and safety and timely delivery is essential.

Job description

Energis is seeking applications for the post of Press Brake Operator on behalf of our client, a global manufacturing company based in Portadown. This is a permanent full time role offering full time day shift hours and an early Friday finish!

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machinery in line with production requirements
• Read and understand engineering drawings, work instructions and bending schedules
• Measure and check components, ensuring they meet specifications and tolerances
• Carry out quality checks and complete production records
• Identify any issues with materials or machinery and report to supervisor
• Ensure all work is completed to required standards and timelines

Criteria

• Previous relevant experience operating a press brake machine
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and written instructions
• Health and safety focussed
• Ability to complete tasks on time and to a high standard
• Work under instruction from supervisor
• Excellent teamworking skills

Desirable Criteria

Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication

Hourly rate is in the region of £16 – 20 /hr depending on experience. Working hours are 39.5 /week.

More senior level candidates are also welcome to apply, salary will be in line with experience.
