Job summary

Interaction Engineering in the NG16 area is recruiting an experienced Press Brake Operator for a permanent night-shift position. The role features a 5:30pm – 4:15am schedule, 4 nights per week, with a strong emphasis on sheet metal fabrication and Amada press brake operation.

You will operate Amada press brake machinery, read engineering drawings, set tooling and machine parameters, and produce components to drawing specifications. The role offers stable workload and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating press brake machinery in a fabrication/engineering environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work from drawings accurately.
• Experience setting tooling and machine parameters to specification.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate the press brake to produce components to drawings and specs.
• Read/interpret engineering drawings and check finished components.
• Select tooling, adjust machine parameters, and maintain quality checks throughout production.
• Work to production schedules and maintain high standards of accuracy.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working area.

Press Brake Operator – Night Shift

Location: NG16
Shift: 4 nights per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a busy and well-established engineering and fabrication business based in the NG16 area.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in press brake operation and sheet metal fabrication who is looking for a permanent night-shift position with a stable company and a consistent workload.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced fabrication team, you will be responsible for operating Amada press brake machinery, producing high-quality components to drawing and specification.

Your duties will include:

• Setting and operating the machine to produce components accurately
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Selecting appropriate tooling and setting machine parameters
• Checking finished components to ensure they meet required specifications
• Carrying out quality checks throughout production
• Working to production schedules and maintaining high standards of accuracy
• Working safely and keeping the working area clean and organised

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Press Brake Operator / Press Brake Setter Operator within a fabrication or engineering environment.

You should be confident with:

• Operating press brake machinery
• Working with sheet metal
• Setting tooling and machine parameters
• Producing accurate components to specification
• Working independently as well as part of a team

Experience with Amada machinery would be highly advantageous.
