Job summary

Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our clinic team. You will work with preschool children with speech, language and communication needs, delivering individual and group therapy and initial assessments alongside SLT colleagues.

The caseload focuses on under-5s, with opportunities to support older children and those who stammer, within a supportive, multi-disciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Deliver Speech and Language Therapy services to children and young people seen by the Clinic Team.
• Collaborate with clinic link colleagues and leads on pathways and service development projects.
• Manage a clinic caseload, triaging referrals, handling queries, prioritising and escalating as needed.
• Deliver preventative SLT support in settings across Lewisham and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group SLT therapy to preschool children with speech, language and communication needs.
• Support families with guidance and family-centred approaches.
• Work with SLT Assistants and other professionals to ensure cohesive care.
• Participate in community outreach and nursery visits to promote good communication development.
