Job summary

Vertu Ford Newcastle is seeking a Prep Technician to join our team. The role offers a basic salary between £28,000 and £35,000 per year, based on a 40-hour week with Saturdays paid as overtime and an over-performance bonus opportunity.

You will perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles to manufacturer standards while maintaining high productivity and customer service. Requirements include a relevant Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualification, current Vehicle

Qualifications

• A relevant Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualification.
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT license preferred but not essential.
• Own set of tools.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles.
• Ensure PDIs meet manufacturer guidelines and are completed within time frames.
• Maintain high productivity while delivering excellent customer service.
• Aim for first-time fixes and quality workmanship.
