Job summary

Vertu Motors is seeking a Prep Technician at the Vertu BMW Prep Centre Sunderland to perform PDIs on new and used vehicles, ensuring standards meet manufacturer guidelines and are completed within set timeframes.

The role offers a basic salary up to £35,720 plus a £4,000 sign-on bonus, with 33–37 days of annual leave, comprehensive manufacturer training, and clear progression paths through Evolution Management Development.

Qualifications

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT license preferred but not essential.
• Your own set of tools.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles to manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain productivity and meet agreed time frames while delivering excellent customer service.
• Ensure quality workmanship and achieve first-time fixes.

Become a valued Prep Technician! We are offering a basic salary up to £35,720 plus a £4,000 sign on bonus! You will receive £2,000 in month 1 of your employment with us and £2,000 in month 12 plus excellent company benefits!

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. As a Prep Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines. You will need to work to agreed time frames, maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.
