Job summary

The Ivy Collection is seeking a detail-oriented Prep Chef to support our kitchen team in Cardiff. You will handle ingredient preparation and portioning to ensure chefs are set up for success during service, with a focus on precision and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Prep Chef /Commis Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
• Good culinary skills with a passion for cooking and learning.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes.
• Set up and stock their assigned section with necessary supplies and ingredients.
• Collaborate closely with Management to ensure correct daily par levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, adhering to food safety.
• Follow instructions from the Senior Management to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
