Job summary

The Ivy Collection in Cheltenham is seeking a detail‑oriented Prep Chef to support our kitchen team during service, handling ingredient preparation and mise en place to ensure chefs are set up for success. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who values precision and teamwork, with a desire to grow in the culinary industry.

This role offers hourly pay with Tronc and a guaranteed minimum 20 hours per week, plus career development opportunities within our iconic brand.

Qualifications

• Experience as Prep/Commis Chef in a professional kitchen.
• Strong cooking skills and passion for learning.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes.
• Set up and stock the assigned section with supplies and ingredients.
• Collaborate closely with Management to ensure correct daily par levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisa­tion of work areas, adhering to food safety.
• Follow instructions from Senior Management to ensure consistency and quality.
• Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills.
