Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive administrator to support the Adult Preoperative Assessment Department. The role focuses on preparing patient records, coordinating clinic logistics and ensuring timely access to investigations.

You will liaise with GP practices and other hospitals to obtain information, organise resources for daily clinics and help deliver a positive patient experience within a busy surgical pathway.

Responsibilities

• Promote best practice according to the Trust's Access Policy and related Trust Policies.
• Liaise with GP practices, other hospitals and departments to obtain medical records and patient information.
• Oversee administrative aspects of the clinic supporting the lead for Pre-assessment.
• Ensure all required information including medical records are ready for clinic running that day.
• Arrange for patient needs (e.g., transport, translators) and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Plan and prepare clinics in advance to deliver a smooth patient experience, and manage patient pathways to prevent delays.
• Act as a point of contact for patients awaiting investigations arising from preoperative assessment.
