Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust offers a specialist maternity team post focused on helping pregnant women and birthing people stop smoking. The role involves responding to referrals, creating tailored support plans with lifestyle advice, and promoting CO monitoring and data collection during pregnancy and postpartum.

The position is a 37.5-hour weekday role with flexibility for study and CPD, and provides NHS Pension and a comprehensive benefits package including health

Qualifications

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across the service.
• Respond to referrals within stated timescales, including self-referrals.
• Develop tailored support plans with lifestyle advice.
• Provide general health and lifestyle guidance for service users.
• Educate on quitting smoking and promote smoke-free homes.
• Deliver and monitor carbon monoxide (CO) screening.
• Collect and analyse CO data during pregnancy and post-partum.
• Monitor client feedback and support service improvements.

Responsabilités

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date and comprehensive records at all times
• Respond to referrals within stated timescales, including self-referrals and those from colleagues in the maternity team
• Develop individually tailored support plans, including recommending treatments based on assessed needs
• Provide general health and lifestyle advice and support to people using the service
• Educate pregnant women and birthing people about the benefits of stopping smoking in pregnancy and support those who want to quit
• Promote smoke-free homes and advise on passive smoking
• Deliver carbon monoxide (CO) monitoring to a high standard
• Collect and collate CO data on rates in pregnancy and post-partum
• Monitor and evaluate client feedback and, as part of the team, recommend ways to improve service user experience
