Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager (Enabling & Earthworks Readiness) to lead planning and readiness for major enabling and earthworks at Sizewell C. You will coordinate across engineering, construction, procurement, permitting, and environmental teams to ensure safe, cost-effective mobilisation.

The role requires a robust understanding of project lifecycle, risk management, and interface leadership in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional membership of a recognised institution (ICE, APM, CIOB, or equivalent) desirable.
• Significant experience in major infrastructure, nuclear, rail, highways, energy, or large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and readiness activities for enabling and earthworks.
• Interface with programme, engineering, construction, commercial, procurement, permitting and environmental teams.
• Develop and manage readiness plans, monitor risks, and ensure packages are prepared before mobilisation.
