Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate civil earthworks and enabling works for the SZC project on the Suffolk coast. The role is site-based to drive delivery excellence through robust engineering processes.

You will manage multi-discipline interfaces, develop delivery strategies, and work with client, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure right-first-time execution. This is a senior role with safety, quality and schedule a priority.

Qualifications

• Essential civil engineering degree or equivalent.
• Experience of managing temporary works on large projects.
• Experience with surface water and groundwater in earthworks.
• Chartered or working towards chartership (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate construction engineering for enabling and earthworks during delivery.
• Ensure delivery excellence through engineering processes and best practices on site.
• Establish organisation and resources to meet project technical requirements.
• Coordinate with technical leads, client, and stakeholders on complex interfaces.
• Collaborate with procurement, commercial, information management and project controls to ensure robust delivery.
