Job summary

Balfour Beatty’s Major Projects team is delivering SZC enabling works on the Suffolk coast. We seek an Engineering Manager to lead construction engineering for Earthworks and Enabling Works on site.

You will coordinate across Methods, Temporary/Permanent Works, Digital Engineering, Quality and Survey, establishing delivery structures to meet project needs. The role requires collaboration with client and stakeholders for robust project management.

Qualifications

• Essential: Civil engineering degree or equivalent.
• Experience of managing temporary works.
• Experience of managing surface water and groundwater in earthworks.
• Desirable: Chartered or working towards chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and coordinate construction engineering for the Enabling Works and Earthworks portions during the delivery phase.
• Site based role to ensure Engineering Delivery Excellence through engineering processes, procedures and best practice.
• Coordinate across disciplines: Methods, Temporary/Permanent Works, Digital Engineering, Quality, Materials and Survey.
