Job summary

Miller's Vanguard operates a state-of-the-art workshop at Mossfield Mill, Bury, seeking an experienced Machinist to repair and refurbish parts and components with precision on lathes, mills, and pillar drills. You will manufacture custom parts and generate drawings as needed.

The ideal candidate will be a time served machinist with the ability to read and draw technical drawings, a strong work ethic, good communication, and attention to detail, while maintaining a proactive and flexible approach.

Qualifications

• Time served machinist with proven workshop experience.
• Ability to read and draw up technical drawings of each component.
• Strong work ethic and proactive approach to work.
• High level of communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and producing parts on lathes, mills and pillar drills.
• Manufacturing custom parts and assemblies.
• Generating technical drawings when required.
• Maintaining stock levels of raw materials and ensuring a tidy workshop.
• Adhering to workshop policies and safety procedures.
