Job summary

TEAM Valve & Rotating Services is a global leader in integrated, digitally enabled asset integrity solutions. We are recruiting a Workshop Machinist to join our Wilton team and contribute to precision engineering excellence.

Role involves operating machine tools to produce precision components, setting up borers, lathes, milling and grinding machines, and interpreting drawings to tolerances. NVQ Level 3 in Machining or ONC in Engineering is preferred, with proven machinist experience.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Machining or equivalent is required.
  • Proven experience in a similar machinist role.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerancing.
  • Experience with horizontal/vertical borers and centre lathes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machine tools to produce precision-engineered parts.
  • Set up and operate horizontal/vertical borers, centre lathes, milling and grinding machines.
  • Apply screw cutting techniques and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Manufacture components to specified tolerances.
  • Complete tasks within allocated timeframes.
  • Conduct safety checks on tools and equipment.

We provide specialized inspection, maintenance, repair, and engineering services that enhance operational safety, asset efficiency, and critical reliability.

We are looking for a Workshop Machinist to join our Wilton team and contribute to precision engineering excellence.

Role Purpose

Perform a variety of precision machining tasks in our workshop, delivering high-quality components while adhering to safety protocols and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machine tools to produce precision-engineered parts from metal or plastic/composite materials.
  • Set up and work with:
    • Horizontal and vertical boring machines
    • Centre lathes for turning operations
    • Milling machines
    • Grinding machines
  • Apply screw cutting techniques and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Manufacture components to specified tolerances.
  • Complete tasks within allocated timeframes.
  • Conduct safety checks on tools and equipment, following all safety requirements.
  • Promote and embody TEAM’s Core Values in all work-related activities.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Machining, ONC in Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar machinist role.
  • High proficiency with horizontal/vertical borers and centre lathes.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerancing.
