Job summary

The Resourcing Team is assisting in hiring a Fabricator/Welder for our Tyne and Wear workshop. The role involves fabrication and welding of bespoke and industrial fabrications using carbon steels, aluminium, and stainless steel where required.

You will work in a close-knit team, reporting to the Workshop General Manager, and ensure compliance with health and safety, quality control, and project documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fabrication experience.
• Proficient in MIG and MMA welding processes.
• CSCS card and relevant FISS/CIS certificates.
• Experience using metalworking machinery for steel fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and welding of industrial structures and components.
• Operate MIG and MMA welding to project specifications.
• Cutting, bending and finishing of metal products.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in the workshop.
• Record and report defects and quality checks for projects.
