Job summary

Uxbridge Employment is hiring a Production Operative / Tube Cutter in the Hayes area. The role is permanent with a pay rate of £14.00 per hour and hours: Mon-Thu 7.30am–4.00pm, Fri 7.30am–3.00pm.

You will cut, prepare and perform basic machining on metal materials while also handling stock and supporting production. This hands-on position suits someone practical who values accuracy, comfortable with workshop machinery such as saws and lathes, and able to update internal systems.

Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on approach in a production/workshop environment.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer confidence to update internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing metal materials to required specifications.
• Operating workshop equipment including saws and lathes.
• Carrying out basic machining, finishing and de-burring work.
• Checking materials for quantity, condition and accuracy.
• Recording material usage and stock information up to date.
• Assisting with goods-in and stock movement.
