Job summary

Rachel Hill Resourcing in Milton Keynes is seeking a Fabric Cutting Operative to join our manufacturing team. You will trim and finish products with hand and power tools, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a permanent contract and a wage of £12.71 per hour. Candidates should be detail oriented, able to work independently or in a team, and capable of manual handling as required.

Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Manufacturing or production environment experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical fitness suitable for standing for extended periods and performing manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to trim, finish, and refine products according to specifications.
• Use mechanical knowledge to adjust and maintain trimming equipment as needed.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
• Assist in setting up workstations and preparing materials for trimming tasks.
• Conduct heavy lifting of materials or finished products as required, following proper manual handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
