Job summary

Mane Energy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shot Blasting Operative to prepare materials, set up tools and equipment, and carry out surface preparation to meet quality standards and tolerances.

You will operate shot blasting processes, inspect parts, maintain equipment, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment while following all SSOW and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a shot blasting role within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up tools and equipment for shot blasting and surface preparation.
• Operate shot blasting and material preparation processes to SA2.5 standards.
• Carry out visual inspections of parts and assemblies.
• Fill, sand, and smooth surfaces prior to coating.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs).
• Communicate operational status and report any deviations or issues.
• Review prepared parts to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Work to agreed output targets and production deadlines.
• Operate other production equipment as required to meet engineering specifications.
• Report production issues and support resolution activities.
• Support, coach, and train other employees when required.
• Propose quality and productivity improvements (continuous improvement).
• Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the Department Manager.
