Morson Talent is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for a permanent, full-time role in a defence‑sector engineering and manufacturing environment. You will inspect high‑tolerance mechanical components, interpret detailed drawings, and document findings with precision.

You will operate CMMs, measuring arms and other equipment, perform hardness tests, and contribute to non-conformance investigations while collaborating with Quality, Engineering and Production teams.

Qualifikationen

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience in Quality/Mechanical Inspection, Metrology or NDT roles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with conventional measuring equipment and CMM/NDT methods.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.

Aufgaben

• Carry out inspections of purchased components and in-house operations per drawings and specs.
• Perform dimensional inspections at goods-inwards, during production and final inspection stages.
• Operate CMM, CNC gear testers, measuring arms, laser trackers and 3D scanners to verify dimensions.
• Undertake hardness testing using Vickers, Rockwell and Brinell methods.
• Produce inspection reports with findings and recommendations for corrective action.
• Raise and manage non-conformance reports per established procedures.
• Ensure measuring equipment is maintained and calibrated in line with internal requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Production and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues.
