Job summary

Pivotal Recruit is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for a precision engineering business manufacturing high-precision, safety-critical components. You will inspect components, program and operate CMMs, and ensure conformance to customer specs and quality standards.

Join the Quality team and support audits, calibration records, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Production, Engineering and Quality colleagues to maintain stringent quality levels.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within precision engineering, machining or aerospace.
• Experience programming and operating CMM equipment.
• A good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience completing First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision-engineered components.
• Programming and operating CMM equipment as part of the inspection process.
• Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and customer specifications.
• Producing and reviewing inspection reports and First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102).
• Supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions relating to non-conforming products.
• Working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to maintain quality standards.
• Ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
• Maintaining calibration records and measurement traceability.
• Supporting internal and external audits and continuous improvement activities.
