Job summary

Morson Edge in Denton (Manchester) is seeking a hands-on Quality Inspector to join our precision manufacturing team. You will perform first-off, in-process and final inspections, ensuring components meet drawings, tolerances and customer requirements.

You will work with Production and Engineering, use PC-DMIS with CMM, read drawings, document results, report non-conformances and support NCR investigations and FAI/FAIR documentation. Immediate start offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quality Inspector in manufacturing or precision engineering.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections of precision-engineered components.
• Operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS software to inspect components and complex geometries.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances and GD&T requirements.
• Accurately document and report inspection results, ensuring traceability of measurements.
• Identify, record and report non-conforming components, supporting NCR investigations and corrective actions.
• Assist with First Article Inspection (FAI) and FAIR documentation when required.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to investigate and resolve manufacturing and dimensional quality issues.
