Job summary

Windles Group in the Oxfordshire countryside is a certified B-Corp print house with on-site design support. This is a full-time, on-site Machine Operator role based in Thame.

You will set up, operate, monitor and adjust printing and finishing machinery to produce high-quality outputs that meet specifications and deadlines. Daily tasks include basic maintenance checks, loading and unloading stock, inspecting outputs for defects, recording production data and working with the team to improve

Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial printing/finishing machinery.
• Strong eye for detail and quality control of printed outputs.
• Ability to use hand tools for adjustments and setup.
• Clear communication with supervisors and team members.
• Experience in print manufacturing or packaging production is beneficial.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, production schedules and safety protocols.
• Comfort with standing, lifting and manual handling in a fast-paced environment.
• Vocational training or certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor and adjust printing and finishing machinery to meet specs and deadlines.
• Perform basic maintenance checks and prepare materials for production.
• Load and unload stock, inspect output for defects, and complete production records.
• Collaborate with the production team to improve efficiency, quality and waste reduction.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
