Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting Preparation Operatives for a well-established manufacturing business in Pontypool. The role focuses on preparing components through a stage-by-stage process before moving to the next production stage, requiring hands-on accuracy and a commitment to quality.

You will work alternating shifts 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm with paid breaks, earning £13.45 per hour plus a 15% shift allowance (£15.47/hour on average).

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or hands-on environments preferred.
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
• Able to follow a defined preparation process.
• Attention to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Sanding down components to the required finish.
• Drilling holes accurately following specification.
• Preparing and finishing components ready for production.
• Following a clear stage-by-stage preparation process.
• Using basic hand and power tools.
• Checking your work to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Identifying any defects or issues with components.
• Following work instructions and production specifications.
• Keeping your work area clean, tidy and safe.
• Working as part of the wider manufacturing team.
