Job summary

Pertemps Cardiff Commercial is recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business near Pontypool. A Production Operative role in Varteg offers rotating shifts 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm, with paid breaks and a shift allowance. You will sand, drill, and finish components for the automotive sector in a busy preparation dept.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or hands-on environments preferred.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow stage-by-stage processes.

Responsibilities

• Sand down components to required finish.
• Drill holes accurately following specifications.
• Prepare and finish components for production.
• Follow a clear stage-by-stage preparation process.
• Use basic hand and power tools.
• Check work to ensure quality standards.
• Identify defects or issues with components.
• Follow work instructions and production specifications.
• Keep work area clean, tidy and safe.
• Work as part of the wider manufacturing team.
