Job summary

Infinitesima, based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to build, integrate and test high-precision optical, electro-mechanical and photonic systems. The role involves manufacturing sub-assemblies and ensuring quality, cost and schedule targets are met.

You will work on-site, join a fast-growing deep-tech company, and contribute to the performance of complex scientific instruments used by global semiconductor manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and testing high-precision technology products.
• Ability to read and follow complex technical documentation and build procedures.
• Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing environment.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and test complex sub-assemblies involving optical, cabling, and electro-mechanical technologies, ensuring quality and performance standards.
• Identify, document, and upscale manufacturing issues with cross-functional teams to drive resolution.
• Maintain and improve manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Ensure assemblies are delivered to quality, cost and schedule requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness across production and cleanroom environments.
• Coordinate with Stock Operatives to ensure complete and accurate assembly kits.
