Rubicon Recruitment Agency in Poole is seeking a CNC Miller Operator to join a precision engineering environment. You will load and unload components, set up and machine to exact tolerances, and perform quality checks using calipers and micrometers.

This role offers consistent daytime hours with no nights or weekends and opportunities to progress in a structured workshop. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in machining or manufacturing, a basic understanding of milling

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a machining, engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of how milling machines cut and shape metal.
• Knowledge of common cutting tools, drills, milling cutters and inserts.
• Confident use of measuring equipment such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
• A methodical, accurate approach to quality checks.

Responsabilités

• Load and unload components and castings on milling machines.
• Position castings accurately, ready for machining.
• Check finished parts using vernier calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Inspect components for defects and report any quality issues.
• Follow safe operating procedures and keep the work area clean and organised.
